Armed Services Ministry exists to help meet the critical spiritual needs of our nation's military by providing customized ministry programs and Scripture resources. These resources are freely available to all of our men and women serving our country, as well as Veterans and family members.

From 1817 through the War on Terror, we have delivered nearly 60 million free Bible resources to America’s armed forces. Today, we look forward to continuing our tradition of providing God’s Word to the military.

About ASM

The Armed Services Ministry of American Bible Society fortifies our Soldiers and Veterans with the transforming power of God's Word, at absolutely no cost to them. This past year, we have expanded our reach to the children of our nations military, as well as specifically developing materials for wives and female service members. All of these resources can be offered free of any charge because of the generous support of our Donors. Partnering with Military Community Youth Ministries (MCYM) the Armed Services Ministry is producing ReZilient Life, a web-based, Bible engagement initiative designed to reach nearly 1.1 million military teens with the life-changing Word of God. ReZilient Life seeks to answer the unique problems military teens face, including coping with separations from deployed parents and moving frequently.

Reaching out to our Veterans, the Armed Services Ministry offers the God Understands series, a resource developed in conjunction with VA chaplains that provides healing, hope and comfort to Veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder and the spiritual, physical, and emotional brokenness brought on by active duty service. The program is offered to VA chaplains and Veterans at VA medical centers throughout the United States, as well as pastors, leaders and organizations that serve the Veteran community. We also offer large print military Bibles, as well as large print Bible Engagement materials.

We have partnered with Campus Crusade for Christ Military Ministry to provide military New Testaments for distribution to service members, particularly those preparing to deploy. These Bibles are a part of a Rapid Deployment Kit that reaches thousands of service members each year.

We continue to offer our Bible Engagement tools as on-line resources in addition to print. We have also out-sourced to develop applications for iPhones and iPads, beginning with the E100 Bible reading system. Our goal is to reach all the generations of Veterans through the appropriate means.
