Each Monday we post a short passage of scripture with questions to help you start the week off well.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

This is a direct order from our divine commander-in-chief that carries a promise. God is worthy to be trusted. It is our nature to put our trust in something or someone, even if it is our self. It is the choice to “invite” God into our everyday life and conduct. It is to practice the presence of God in the regular and sometimes mundane things that happen every day.

Consider the passage and think about these questions as you start your day.

  • How much are you going to trust in the promises of God as you move forward into this new year?
  • What should you do and not do in order to enjoy God’s fullest blessings?
