Each Monday we post a short passage of scripture with questions to help you start the week off well.

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).

The Apostle Paul speaks of being baptized into Christ – the believer’s “immersion” or identification with Jesus in His death and resurrection. We can see that something dramatic and life changing happened in the life of the believer. You can’t die and rise again without it changing your life.

Consider the passage and think about these questions as you start your day.

  • In what ways are you walking in the newness of the Christian life?
  • In what ways are you still walking in old ways of your life?
  • What can you do to stay focused on following Jesus?
