Each Monday we post a short passage of scripture with questions to help you start the week off well.
“But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth.”
(2 Timothy 4:17)
Our theme for this morning is “Lion and the Lamb.” In our verse for today the Apostle Paul is in the midst of telling about events from his life to encourage his young disciple Timothy. The term ‘lion’s mouth’ is a metaphor for serious danger.
Consider the passage and think about these questions as you start your day.
- What two things did God do for Paul? Why?
- What do you need God to equip you to face today?
