Check back each Monday for a short devotional with Chaplain Art Pace to help you start the week off well.

“And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.”

1 Corinthians 15:17

The Apostle Paul tells us that if Jesus did not rise from the dead, the Christian faith is a foolish fantasy. However, if the resurrection of Christ did occur, it confirms His life, message, and atoning sacrifice. It is the basis of our Christian hope that life does not end at the grave, but eternally extends beyond the bounds of vision. Christ is alive, and the evidence is overwhelming.
Some people might think that all religions are the same; but only one religion follows a sinless savior risen from the dead, and that is Christianity. Every other religion takes its direction from someone confined to a grave, because they lacked the ability and power to conquer it. There is only one Lord and one faith. Jesus is the way and the truth and the life, and no one can come to the Father except through Him. We can only enter heaven through the empty tomb.

How does your life reflect the victory of the empty tomb? When was the last time you shared your victorious Christian faith with someone else?

Victorious Father: I thank you for the gift of your Son who died for my sins and then rose on the third day as he promised. Help me to be bold in my faith as I point others to the empty tomb. Amen.
